A member of the English Department at Inver Hills College of the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU), Richard Jewell has created an entire website and textbook on writing for college.
The text has information on academic, professional, literary and creative writing. Jewell was a freelance writer prior to switching to teaching. He has taught college writing for over 20 years. According to the site, he has taught “research writing; developmental or basic writing; creative, business, and technical writing; intermediate and advanced expository writing; writing about literature; writing for publication; and a variety of upper-division professional writing courses such as writing for the health sciences, writing about science, writing for engineers, and writing in the social sciences.”
