Originally published in Russian, this advanced mathematics textbook is being shared by the ACTA Scientific Publishing House. The new edition is from 2002. I’ll let the editor of Introduction to the Theory of Infinite-Dimensional Dissipative Systems explain the textbook as it covers material far beyond what I studied. It strives to provide “an exhaustive introduction […]
Free Dynamical Systems And Ergodic Theory Textbooks
The University of North Carolina Department of Mathematics explains this mathematics discipline as, “Dynamical systems are systems in motion, often governed by differential equations, but also perhaps by other continuous or discrete formulae. Ergodic theory is the study of statistical properties of that motion. Originally created to connect thermodynamics to statistical mechanics, it has been extended to connect with many branches of mathematics, including differential geometry and number theory.”
I’ve found several free online textbooks available on this topic that advanced mathematics students will find helpful.
