Auburn University has a publicly accessible database of Master’s theses and Ph.D. dissertations. Every thesis or dissertation that was successfully defended since the Fall 2005 semester is offered as a PDF file. It also appears to offer some materials published prior to 2005.
The papers are indexed alphabetically by author/advisor, by issue date, by title and by academic department. 93 different academic departments were identified when I last visited in late November 2016. All of the materials are also searchable.
While I didn’t try it out during my visit, the library staff also offers live online text-chat to answer questions about using Auburn University’s Electronic Theses & Dissertations repository.
